Covid-19 Prevention Guidelines

In order to follow guidelines recommended by public health & Worksafe NB, JHDC has put in place the following protocols:

UPDATED: We have reduced class size in order to maintain physical distancing. There will be 3 metre sections marked across the floor to guide dancers in maintaining physical distancing.

UPDATED: You must have the correct phone number on file for contact tracing. Drop ins are welcome provided there is space in the class.

We are encouraging payments to be made at sign-up online via credit card to reduce handling of cash.

Anyone entering the studio will be required to wash hands or use hand sanitizer immediately. Hand sanitizer will be available at the entryway along with a reminder of procedures.

All surfaces such as lights, bathroom fixtures, door handles, stair railings, etc...  will continue to be sanitized before and after each class with lysol, hospital-grade disinfectant, or 70% isopropyl alcohol. Floors will be disinfected between classes.

We will not be providing reusable cups for water. The water station will have instructions that must be followed including wiping down the spout after each use.

UPDATED: An active screening questionnaire will be sent out by email as soon as you register for a class, and again 24 hours before the class. You must have responded NO to all questions in order to attend the class. Those who have symptoms, have travelled, or been in contact with someone who’s tested positive will not be permitted into the studio until it is deemed safe according to public health guidelines.

All choreography and movement will take into consideration social distancing.

UPDATED: Masks must be worn when you enter the building, and anytime you are moving around the studio. You must keep your mask with you at all times. You may remove your mask when the class begins, with the exception of yoga. Masks must be worn the entire time during a yoga class.

All staff have been informed on these new procedures.

All of our policies are strictly informed by, and following Public Health orders. They have stated that it is not recommended to wear masks during aerobic activity, however it is up to each individual whether they'd like to also wear a mask while dancing.

We will continue to monitor and adhere to public health recommendations and requirements as they are updated.
